Introduction
The CRO Report ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit thecroreport.com.
Information We Collect
Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site. This includes:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referral source (how you found us)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (city/country level)
This data is collected using cookies and similar technologies. We do not send your newsletter email address to GA4 or Clarity.
Newsletter Subscriptions: If you subscribe, we store your normalized email address, subscription status, unsubscribe token, subscription timestamps, and a compact source string that may include the source site, form location, landing-page variant, and campaign attribution. Subscription records are stored in Cloudflare D1. Resend is used for newsletter delivery. A repeated signup is handled without creating a duplicate active subscription.
Advertising Measurement: We may use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API after those services are configured. When enabled, a successful new or renewed subscription may send a standard Lead event, a shared event ID for deduplication, the page URL, browser identifiers, and a SHA-256 hash of the normalized email address. We may also use hashed active-subscriber data to exclude existing readers from advertising. We do not upload an exclusion list until the applicable platform terms have been accepted.
Contact Information: If you contact us directly (via email or consulting inquiry), we collect the information you provide in your message.
How We Use Your Information
- To analyze site usage and improve our content
- To deliver newsletter content if you subscribe
- To attribute subscriptions to a page, form, or campaign without placing your email address in analytics events
- To measure and deduplicate advertising conversions when advertising measurement is enabled
- To exclude existing subscribers from acquisition advertising when a lawful, approved exclusion audience is configured
- To respond to inquiries about our consulting services
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

- Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk): Session replay and heatmap analytics
- Meta (_fbp, _fbc): Advertising attribution and conversion deduplication when Meta measurement is enabled
